As we know with many film schedules, it isn’t always set in stone, especially at a big company like Disney and Marvel.
Today, they announced some changes to their upcoming movie schedule… delays.
Many movies got delayed by Marvel, which delays affect movies into 2023.
- Doctor StrangeIn The Multiverse of Madness – original date was March 25, 2022 new date is May 6, 2022
- Thor: Love and Thunder – original date May 6, 2022 new date is July 8, 2022
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – original date July 8, 2022 new date is November 11, 2022
- The Marvels – original date November 11, 2022 new date is February 17, 2023
- Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania – original date February 17, 2023 new date is July 28, 2023
- Untitled Marvel Movie – original date July 28, 2023 is removed from schedule
- Untitled Marvel Movie – original date October 6, 2023 is removed from schedule
- Untitled Marvel Movie – original date November 10, 2023 new date is November 3, 2023
The delays now mean that there will be three Marvel Cinematic Universe movies released in 2022 instead of the original four that were planned originally. It also means there will now be a five-month span between 2021’s final release in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the next release in Marvel’s slate Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness.
This most likely is that in this five-month gap, that there will be a Disney+ series to keep fans occupied until the next big blockbuster movie.
The last couple of Marvel Studios releases for 2021 keep their release dates and suffer no delays this time.
