What I Liked

1. We jump straight into the flashback scenes this week. I am enjoying the fact we’re building up to The Mandalorian timeline now. We see a flare go off and Boba hunts it down, finding Fennec Shane gravely wounded. I am intrigued to see how they heal her. It does turn out they use the cyber people we saw last episode to do so as well, definitely a curiosity surrounding that group.

2. When Fennec wakes up and the introductions begin, I loved Shand’s reaction when Boba tells her who he is. Obviously, due to how famous Boba is, you’d be surprised you were in his presence. I also do like the fact we’re now seeing how Boba gets the Slave I back.

3. Boba finally has the Slave I back and what a way to do it! The kitchen scene was slightly off but Fennec just proved how much of a badass she actually is. As Boba got the ship turned off, she stayed back to fight and it was just amazing!

4. He then travels to the Sarlac Pit and we realize it’s still alive. The pit manages to grip the ship aggressively and doesn’t let go. Fennec then just manages to press a button on the ship which drops one of those “bombs” into its mouth. You know the bombs I mean as well. You can literally hear it in this photo…

5. It’s the little things that make Star Wars one of the most entertaining franchises in the world, they don’t miss details. The bacta tank Boba has been using, I suspected he’d need this forever but it turns out he doesn’t. As he steps out the droid mentions that he is now completely healed. I’m not sure if this means his skin or his organs as we know the damage the pit can do but I just liked this little touch.

6. Black Krrsantan goes on a tear inside the bar, almost literally. If Wookiee’s were real then one running at me pissed off would make me cry like a child. Honestly. The way he just manhandles 4 people inside the bar was brilliant, especially considering the brawl starts as Boba walks in and just watches on.

7. After the Syndicate’s come to somewhat of an agreement, Shand mentions you can buy muscle with credits. Then…The Mandalorian theme song briefly plays….

What I Disliked

Nothing to report this week.

Favourite Moment

It doesn’t even take Boba long after getting the ship back, but then again, you shouldn’t piss off one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy. He immediately goes after a bunch of bikers on the ship who killed the Tuskens and just annihilates them all with the Slave I. I couldn’t have asked for a better return to the ship. This was top class.

Standout Character

I’m giving it to Fennec Shand this week. She was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire episode. The fact that Boba saved her life so she stuck around for that reason alone was brilliant. You usually expect a long drawn-out story with this sort of thing so I’m happy with the way it went.

Verdict

The best episode of the season so far for me. It had a good balance of past and present within the scenes which is what I like. I think getting the Slave I back was desperately needed so I’m glad that finally happened. Overall a perfect episode that’s only got me excited for next week, especially with the way it ended.
