What I Liked

A sneaky visitor in this week’s episode as we yet again see the return of John Diggle who is here to help Jada locate the JoyBuzzer in order to save her son.

As Ryan, Sophie and Luke head out to find Poison Ivy the scenes to follow were incredible. The scene in the woods was absolutely brutal as the 3 come across a man begging for his life. Not long after this, we see Poison Ivy try to kill the four of them as her vines chase them through the woods, and ultimately take the life of an innocent man.

I loved the moment between Mary and Alice as Mary is on the hunt for Poison Ivy. Alice shows her true emotion to Mary as she knows there can not be two Poison Ivy’s in the same universe and tries to save Mary from death.

I’m glad to see Luke finally starting to realize he can be his own person without worrying about what his Dad would’ve thought. It’s time for him to stop relying on what others say and I hope this is the start of that.

The end of the episode is what I’ve been waiting for. Mary and Pam come face to face. As Renee steps aside to allow Pam to revive, we see Mary and Pam pull together to bring back the original Poison Ivy. I’m looking forward to seeing what this will bring moving forward.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report this week.

Favourite Moment

The scene in the woods only gets better as Ryan, Sophie and Luke barricade themselves in a small cabin, that is until they realize they need the salt from the truck in order to stand any chance of making it out. As Ryan braves the trip, Pam is alerted to Ryan’s presence and begins to wrap her vines around the truck. In order to stop this from happening Ryan orders Sophie to blow up the truck with her remaining inside. This scene was very well done and gave me a lot more respect for Ryan as a character.

Standout Character

I think this week I will give the standout to Pam. Purely for the amount of chaos, she managed to bring to the episode despite not being fully revived yet. In one episode she has killed 4 men and tried to kill Batwoman and her team, admittedly getting the upper hand most of the time.

Verdict

An amazing episode focusing mostly on Poison Ivy this week as Pam makes her comeback and the team now has two of them to stop. Honestly, this season has massively improved compared to the last and I’m finding myself looking forward to watching the show every week.
