We rarely ever speak about Fortnite on the site, we’ve only spoken about it when Fortnite and Marvel collaborated on an entire battle pass season and the many skins they brought to the battle royal video game.
The Marvel season for Fortnite was arguably one of the most successful seasons of Fortnite. They introduced heroes onto the Fortnite island, brought out some incredible skins, and overall the player base was great.
Fortnite continued their great collabs by going into a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars came with lightsabers as weapons you could use to kill and destroy builds. They also had skins, Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, and a couple of stormtroopers. They were great but then, only a few short seasons later… The Mandalorian debuted as a battle pass skin in which over the course of so many weeks you would do challenges and unlock parts of his Beskar armor.
But the real question is… could Fortnite pull off an entire season focused on Star Wars similar to Marvel?
The short answer is yes.
Star Wars is at an all-time high for entertainment at the minute with shows like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and soon-to-be Obi-Wan Kenobi. I see people speak on Fortnite bringing Star Wars back and I agree they need to.
They’ve recently released a Boba Fett skin which is incredible. If they did an entire season, they have literally thousands of skins to choose from to use in the battle pass and to release in their item shop. I can tell you now that I would drop more money than I did in the Marvel season.
They could also have dedicated landing spots from Star Wars locations like Tatooine, Death Star and more.
I would also have lightsabers as pickaxes, something people have been asking for since the first time they introduced them into the game.
I can guarantee that this would be on par with the Marvel season in terms of profit for Epic Games.
Epic Games would be stupid not to capitalize on this opportunity.
