What I Liked

1. One of the things I love about this show is the personalities. They all have the strong points they bring to the table. As Layla and Steven explore the “maze”, Steven manages to figure it out pretty quickly, knowing what they’re doing, where they are, and what’s going on. His reactions to the fresh blood everywhere are brilliant.

2. “I squished it! I squished it!” Steven’s response when he panicked and throws a shelf over the “zombie” like figure that just had a human male as a meal was hilarious. I just honestly love his reactions to everything that goes to shit.

3. It is interesting when you’ve learned about Egyptian history in school etc. Steven stumbles across the lost tomb of Alexander the Great. He does snap the jaw and throws his hand down his throat in a great disrespect, but the entire premise is definitely super interesting.

4. We do get to learn about how Marc and Layla initially met. Resulting in a guilty conscience from Marc himself after trying to save Layla’s father. The story is getting interesting, especially considering we’re learning so much more about our characters.

5. As Marc tries to defend himself against Arthur’s advancing forces, he ultimately loses as he’s shot twice by Arthur, presumably killed. The next bit is just really weird…

6. I think I can speak for most people when I can safely assure you that I am beyond confused with how that ended. I liked it, but damn my brain hurts.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report this week.

Favourite Moment

Layla goes one on one against the figure, taking its arm off in the process. She manages to defeat it by igniting a flare and shoving it in its face. This was a super intense scene. I honestly believed Layla was going to be done for there.

Standout Character

It’s Steven for me. He was hilarious this week and as always, he makes me laugh. I’ve had a horrible day at work personally so watching a show that’s meant to be super serious makes me laugh by just one character is class.

Verdict

Definitely the best episode of the season so far and that’s even without the suit being involved once. The ending was odd but intriguing. Steven was in his element within the tomb and his reaction to finding Alexander the Great was absolutely incredible. A fantastic episode.
