Naomi Canceled at The CW – No Surprise

With what began with promise and a great premiere launch in January, which was ranked as The CW’s third-most watched season premiere of the 2021-22 season, Naomi has officially been canceled at The CW.

Despite a promising launch, the series audience has dropped by more than 40 percent, however, the audience is still tied for number 5 among all of The CW’s drama series.

The season finale on May 10 will now serve as a series finale as well.

While it is no surprise that this happened, I did believe that this series would have at least snuck a season 2 in there but as today shows, whatever is happening over at The CW, no show is safe as the network has canceled multiple shows at once.

Kaci Walfall starred as Naomi. A cool, confident, and previously bespectacled Black teenager as she came to realize her hidden destiny and journeyed to “the heights of the multiverse” in search of the full truth of who killed her parents and why.

I got turned off by the show, pretty much immediately as it was more of a slow burn than what an anticipated the series to be. I should have known that as I got very uninterested in the comic run as well.

Will you be sad that this series isn’t receiving a second season? What shows are next?
