What I Liked

1. The rift in The Boys group is powerful. You can actually feel that they are mad at each other, mad at Hughie for taking the drug, and Butcher for taking the drug. It is like “oh yeah I’m angry at you”. You can actually feel the tension between them.

2. Honestly, I think the duo of Butcher and Queen Maeve is amazing. It’s a team-up I didn’t expect to see or even like but it’s surprisingly a really smart duo when come together, working on a plan to take down Homelander. I hope this duo continues throughout the season.

3. Seeing a perspective from an out-of-time Soldier Boy, seeing him walk through the streets seeing just how much time has changed, music, sexualities, and even an easter egg of Jensen Ackles looking at a billboard with Robert Singer on it as the two worked together on Supernatural. Soldier Boy’s memories get too much for him to handle so his powers go off, killing 19 people.

4. A-Train takes Blue Hawk to a community center in Trenton so he can apologize to African-Americans about him being excessive in primarily black neighborhoods. The press conference ends up in a fight with Blue Hawk attacking the community and leaving Nate, A-Trains brother injured.

5. The intense scene between Queen Maeve and Homelander. It was purely intense, nerve-wracking, and just the scene played out amazing. The actors are incredible together when they get a scene together. It also showed Homelander is in the know for everything as he tells Maeve to look behind her and Black Noir grabs her.

6. The spontaneous muscle with Frenchy and Kimiko, need I say more?

What I Disliked

1. The moment Blue Hawk started attacking the community and leaving Nate injured felt like a great time for A-Train to use his powers and to move on from this storyline where he can not use them. I think at the moment, A-Train is just “there”.

2. Hughie is changing for the worse, even though he’s trying to save Starlight, but she doesn’t need his help. He’s lying to her, he’s taking Temp-V, and he’s even stopping her from fighting Soldier Boy. I fear the end of Hughie and Starlight is near.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be the most unexpected scene of all time. Crimson Countess is on a stream with none other than Seth Rogan whose website handle is “@sir-cums-a-lot-779” they both are getting to business with Crimson Countess about to use anal beads while Seth masturbates. The Boys barge in and take Crimson Countess hostage and tell her that Soldier Boy is alive, to her surprise she knew he was in Russia and he is going to kill her. Soldier Boy arrives, and with Butcher making a deal with him, we come to learn that the Russians didn’t even pay Crimson Countess to take Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy explodes the trailer, burning Crimson Countess alive.

Standout Character

I’m going to go controversial and give this to Soldier Boy. I like him as a character, his powers are amazing and brutal and he doesn’t care who he fights as seen by him standing looking at Starlight before Hughie stands in the way.

Verdict

An amazing episode centered around Soldier Boy, him finding out information about his capture like Crimson Countess not even being paid to let the Russians have him and that everyone hated him. The team-up with Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Hughie is going to be amazing.
