What I Liked
1. Courtney just has the sweetest soul. I love that she chooses to see the best in people. The fact she not only wants to find The Gambler’s killer but also wants to make sure his letter gets to his daughter is exactly why she’s the best hero.
2. The Shade is just as awkward as last season and I’m here for it, as much as I like Sylvester, The Shade winding him up was comical. Poor guy just wanted his cup of tea.
3. Starmans had us pretty much on edge these past few episodes, waiting for him to blow and it finally happened as he attacked the shade. I thought that was it for his character, to be honest, I thought from that moment he’d make viewers hate him but nope. After he sits down with Courtney, Pat, and Barbara and explains his behavior it really makes you feel for him. He lost everything and even worse blamed himself for it.
4. I love the whole “who done it” aspect of this series. I love it more when as a viewer I have no idea either.
What I Disliked
I do feel as though the team often disrespects Courtney. I appreciate everyone has an opinion but to constantly argue with her and belittle her for seeing the best in people is a pretty crappy move from them. I just think they should trust her a little more.
Favourite Moment
What an amazing scene with Courtney and Sylvester. I loved seeing what the pair could do with the staff but let’s take a moment to appreciate Starman’s moment with the staff. “The Shooting Star” move was insane and even more amazing when he taught Courtney how to do it.
Standout Character
Sylvester takes the standout this week for me. All his scenes were very well done and we had a lot of emotion from him this episode.
Verdict
A pretty damn great episode this week! The beginning was a little slow but it picked up pretty quickly. I love the “who done it?” aspect of this season.
