What I Liked

1. The heist from the last episode truly showcased just how fast the news has spread throughout the galaxy that there is a group who robbed the Empire and that they are not untouchable as previously thought. I really like this moment.

2. The scene between Luthren and Mon Mothma was actually really intense in some ways. This heist was simply to fund what Star Wars fans have come to witness in the original trilogy. This heist is how the Rebel Alliance got credit for their ships, weapons, fuel, food, soldiers, and much other stuff.

3. Mon Mothma is such a unique character. To see her in her “younger days” slowly navigating her way around the Empire is an annoyance to the Senate so that she can easily be looked over by Palpatine and the Empire is so fascinating. Where we see her in the original trilogy as an important target for the Empire as she’s basically the face of the Rebel Alliance.

4. Has Cassian got some sort of PTSD? We got to see a different moment involving Cassian when he hid from some Stormtroopers. There were two of them and we heard the footsteps get louder then we flashbacked to a younger Cassian and Clem where the Clones seemingly open fire on Clem and a few rioters.

What I Disliked

I only truly have an issue with the lack of action, however, after the last episode, I can see why they needed a slow episode.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be seeing Cassian on Niamos. A Sandtrooper accuses Cassian of being a runner. A K-2SO droid strangles Cassian against a wall. Could this be the K-2SO droid we saw in Rogue One? He gets judged for crimes he didn’t commit, instead of 6 months of prison time, he now gets 6 years.

Standout Character

I’ll give this to Mon Mothma. She’s absolutely badass. She’s planning, learning, strategizing, and recruiting all while being in the Senate.

Verdict

A much slower episode compared to episode 6, however, it is understandable why. This episode was all about the fallout from the heist and seeing how the galaxy and the Empire responded to it. This episode also showcased the harsh sentences the Empire gave out for petty crimes, even if you are innocent.
