It’s beyond safe to say that the reception that Insomniac Games received with their first edition of Spider-Man in video game form was more than excellent, and far beyond that what they expected. It was a masterpiece.
I still have fun when I reinstall it, as well as the Mile Morales spin-off game. Both games are some of the best video games I’ve played.
A year ago, fans were introduced to a cinematic trailer for the second installment in the video game franchise, I say this simply because Miles Morales wasn’t intended as a full game. With Spider-Man 2, both Spider-Men will be playable.
The cinematic trailer was nothing short of spectacular. It revealed both Spider-Men, among other villains that will appear in the game including fan-favorite villain, Venom. Voiced by the talented Tony Todd.
Now, we have a release window for the game, while it’s not an exact date of release, it is something.
With the release of a blog a few days ago, Insomniac Games has revealed that Spider-Man 2 will release in the Fall of 2023.
I’m not mad at this release window by any means. 2023 will be a stacked year for gaming, especially the first free months of games with the release of Hogwarts Legacy in February, then immediately the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which has recently revealed a March 17 release date, and in the midst of all that, DC will be releasing their Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League at some point in 2023.
All I know is I’m very excited to be a gamer and 2023 will be a massive year for gaming, and of course, we’ll have all the reviews on the site.
