What I Liked

1. I do love how The Clones are truly feeling bad about destroying Kamino. The fact that more and more are willing to speak out against the Empire, knowing fine well what has happened with other Clones like the one Rampart killed, Fives earlier in the Clone Wars series, and more.

2. I also like how even in the Senate, people forget that the Clones, while all have the same DNA and are brothers, are simply not droids. They are people who fought and protected worlds throughout the galaxy so that they rightly deserve a seat in the Senate to speak on what to do with them now they are being pushed out of the Empire’s military.

3. This episode can genuinely be the poster episode for just how deep the corruption goes. Palpatine has people everywhere, in the Senate, he has Lieutenants that are corrupt, and the Empire even have assassins on speed dial to take down anyone who stands in their way or says something about the true plans.

4. It seems as though the Empire could be bringing in a new form of an assassin. The assassin we have seen throughout the episode turns out to be an actual Clone. The assassin Clone has a suicide option if he was to be captured, as we saw in the episode.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

Throughout the episode we see a new sniper assassin come into play. This assassin manages to take down Clones, as well as the Senator’s guards who are trying to shine a light on the corrupt Rampart. The Senator barely manages to escape from the assassin, when Rex shows up and takes down the assassin.

Standout Character

I’ll have to give this to the Senator who was trying her best to fight for the Clones, and their futures.

Verdict

Overall, a fantastic first part of a 2 part episode that dives into the corruption, the dirty, and the ugly side of the Empire, Rampart, and more. Great action, and an even better story.
