Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is only a few short months away from being one of the biggest gaming releases in 2023. While originally meant to release in March, but ultimately was delayed to allow the studio to keep working on background stuff even though the content is completed, the game will now release in April.
Well, IGN recently posted a 9-minute video showcasing an early look at Survivor. The video begins with Cal crash-landing on a new planet called Koboh early in the game while on a secret mission.
What I want to talk about is some new features and new content added to Survivor and what I noticed stayed from the first game.
Obviously, there is some new stuff like moves, saber abilities, and more so let’s talk.
Firstly, I noticed droids are in the game as villains, mere pawns in a chess game. Either way, I love that we’re seeing droids from the Prequel movies in this game instead of just Stormtroopers. That tell’s me we have a range of new enemies to fight.
Another thing I noticed was new clothing. Now while the first game was incredible, what lacked was customization. You have different color skins for the outfit, poncho, and ship. It often felt like you truly had no need to change an outfit in the first game, until they added the inquisitor suit for Cal.
More abilities for BD-1. We get to see Cal use him as some kind of binocular. Which is amazing. I loved finding and upgrading BD-1 in the first game.
Lastly, you have some stuff that Cal learned in the first game making a reappearance in this 9-minute video which is great because it would have been stupid to come into a sequel and have to learn everything again.
Overall, the 9-minute video looked amazing on an early preview build of the game.
