What I Liked

1. The episode opens up tugging at the heart. It shows scenes of the Kent family just being a family and showing that Lois has been losing a lot of energy and just being tired because of her cancer. It’s honestly such a heartbreaking storyline.

2. There is a fire in which Kyle has to rush to, Jonathan asks if he can join but Kyle tells him only if he stays at the truck. Jordan flies into the burning building and busts out of a door with a civilian, Jonathan goes to help but gets a lecture from Kyle. I am curious to see Jonathan progress in this new job field that he has since it looked like he froze a tiny bit in this scene.

3. I am fully on Jonathan’s side. Jordan made him get into trouble at his new job and he doesn’t care. Jonathan tells Jordan that he isn’t the only one who can save people but Jordan responds with “I have heat vision while you’re taking coffee orders” and I just thought this was such a d*** move by Jordan.

4. I’m glad they are not just brushing off the sister story with John Henry Irons. I love seeing them get to speak to each other more and compare stories from each other’s lives including their father and how he was with first relationships.

5. Lois admits that she put Lex Luthor in prison for a crime that he didn’t commit… I wonder where this storyline will go and how long until we get to see the man himself.

What I Disliked

1. The awkward scene between Lana and Chrissy. I just am not interested in seeing any story revolving around Chrissy, Lana, or Kyle. I watch this show for Superman and the family, not some side characters’ love life.

2. I know John Henry is enraged at Bruno and Peia, but to straight up tell Natalie that she can not see Matteo again and Clark that even though Peia has cancer and she doesn’t have long that she still is a criminal. I hope he sees sense soon.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be Bruno giving John Henry a beatdown. John Henry takes the beating long enough for his suit to arrive and save him and Clark hears this from Smallville so he rushes to John Henry’s aid.

Bruno’s wife, Peia uses her abilities on John Henry until Superman arrives and takes the brunt of the force of her ability to use her voice as a weapon. Superman uses his abilities to see that Peia needs to go to a hospital now or she dies. Superman uses his speed to get her there.

Standout Character

It’s hard to choose a standout this week, no one truly stood out. Even though many characters had a decent episode, I’ll give this to Jonathan. From this episode, I truly felt like Jordan stood out as an underrated story of the episode.

Verdict

Another episode with little to no Superman but honestly, the story and everything else like action, John Henry Irons going full steam ahead at Bruno and Peia was interesting. I do love the storyline for Jonathan and how long will it be before Lex arrives.
