The PlayStation Showcase is coming up on us, an event where we get to see game trailers, announcements, and reveals, along with some information about those games.
While the event tends to have a wide range of games, there is only one I’m excited about, and one I hope we get more information about, cinematic trailer, or release date.
What are those games?
Spider-Man 2
Firstly, Spider-Man 2. Arguably one of my most anticipated games of this year along with Jedi Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy. Insomniac Games absolutely smashed it out of the universe with the first Spider-Man game and then topped themselves again with the Miles Morales game.
This event is where I believe the marketing for the second game will begin and we could get a trailer for the game and more information. Spider-Man 2 is a single-player focused game again but you can use Spider-Man and Miles Morales.
While Insomniac Games did confirm that there will NOT be a co-op feature within the game, this doesn’t take anything away from the game for me personally but a co-op Spider-Man game would be insane.
Wolverine
Wolverine. A game that feels so far away yet so close. A game that feels long overdue. A game where fans can dive in and use Wolverine as a game character and just go to town on bad guys.
Wolverine had a cinematic trailer released that didn’t showcase a lot just showed a messed up bar with someone with claws sitting at the bar. It’s all that needed to be shown to get people talking, to get people freaked out.
For a second year in a row, Insomniac Games could easily break the internet, just give the fans a new Wolverine trailer and I promise you it will be a trending topic on Twitter for days, they’ll have reaction videos on YouTube going wild.
Honestly, I can not wait for this Wolverine game and all of it’s glory that will come with it if it is anything remotely similar to Spider-Man.
