Top 5 Canceled Superhero Shows I Would Bring Back

In the last few years, we’ve had an abundance of superhero shows that have been canceled for various reasons whether it be financial, ratings, or because James Gunn said so.

I want to discuss my top 5 that I would bring back if somehow in a parallel universe, I had the ability to do so.

1. Titans

The TV series Titans initially faced some challenges with its viewers, but as time passed, it grew into a beloved show. Season 3 was particularly exceptional, while Season 4 was decent. However, the potential directions the show could have taken were endless. Unfortunately, I had a feeling that the cancellation was imminent, especially after James Gunn terminated numerous other shows. Even now, I am saddened by this decision.

2. The Punisher

In my opinion, Jon Bernthal perfectly embodies the character of Frank Castle. He is reprising his role as The Punisher in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, and I sincerely hope this is a new beginning with a new show for him. Alongside Daredevil (which is already confirmed to be returning), The Punisher is the top Netflix Marvel show that I would like to see make a comeback. Even if only these two shows were to return, I would be content.

3. Swamp Thing

Even after 4 years, this situation still frustrates me. Swamp Thing was an excellently produced show and the creators did a great job of setting up an exciting continuation at the end of the season, only for it to be canceled. Rumors suggest that overspending or creative differences may have been the cause. I find it hard to believe that there were no plans for a second season, given how the first season ended. Although it’s probably too late to bring the show back, I’m still annoyed about how it all went down.

4. Inhumans

It’s not shocking to hear that Inhumans got canceled. It appeared to be a show that was disliked by everyone but strangely enough, I found it enjoyable. Although I comprehend the grievances, I think a second season could have rescued it due to the potential it had with its great cast and strong foundation. The show just required a better direction. One of the characters has been revived already with Black Bolt, and I strongly believe that Inhumans deserves another opportunity.

5. Batwoman

Personally, I didn’t enjoy watching this show during its first two seasons. The storyline was all over the place, particularly after Ruby Rose’s departure. However, season 3 took a different direction and turned out to be one of the finest DC television series in a long time. I was thrilled with the Joker variation included in the show and seeing Batwing in full action. It’s a pity that the show was canceled just as it was starting to gain momentum, as I believe there were many potential avenues for the show to explore.
