Supernatural is one of the biggest and best things to ever come from The CW Network. Supernatural has and will always have a massive fandom that absolutely adores the show, the story, the characters, and the lore. I’m one of them.
Why hasn’t this series had a video game? Obviously, video games are not for everyone but the lore of Supernatural would make for such an immense and great RPG game, depending on if done correctly.
Now, this is something I’ve thought about a couple of times when doing a marathon watch of all fifteen seasons of the show and recently, I’ve come across a TikTok that explains how the game would work.
Firstly, you would create your own “hunter” that goes through an event that makes you become a hunter. Now, this would be a fantastic feature to allow the player to customize their character to play throughout the game.
In the game, the main characters from the show, are Sam, Dean, and Bobby. With original TV characters coming into it like Castiel and more. A perfect opportunity to have the original cast members come back and lend their voices and likenesses to the game. I honestly believe they’d be super down to do this.
The game will have a full detailed story with choices. The game will also have free DLC and customization where you can change clothing, weapons, and even your choice of vehicle. The story will center around a new devil who took other the throne of Hell making Crowley run and try to get help to stop him.
Obviously, with the original cast members back, the game will be filled with references and easter eggs to the series. The collector’s edition of the game will have a statue of the car Dean drives as well as a statue of Sam and Dean. I think the sales of this would skyrocket with how well they are received by fans.
As the player will be faced with choices throughout the game, there will be consequences to your actions and choices. The game will have a lot of things to do and the “map” will be open so you can explore if you decide to.
You can team up with characters from the show or even other characters that have been created for this game. Finally, you could either save the world and become a legendary hunter or join the new Devil with his plans.
Honestly, I’m not sure why a game set around the Supernatural TV show hasn’t been created by now, although I do believe this will only be something fans can wish and speak about in conversation, which is absolutely sad to have to say.
