Brief Overview
Ahsoka Tano makes her live-action debut in her own show after previously appearing in various animations, books, and comics.
Ahsoka is a character with a rich backstory, particularly as she was Anakin’s Padawan, despite her not being mentioned in the main Star Wars movies. This means that many casual Star Wars fans may not be familiar with her character, even though she plays a significant role in the franchise.
This show provides both hardcore fans and casual viewers the opportunity to explore Ahsoka’s character more deeply, learn about her past experiences, and witness her incredible abilities in an exciting new story. Since taking over Star Wars, Disney has faced challenges with both movies and TV shows, but this one is highly anticipated and has generated a lot of excitement among fans, including us at Comic Universe.
Today, we will break down our review into sections and score them individually. We will explain our reasoning behind each score, following our Scoring Policy which you can find in further detail by clicking here.
Story – 9.5/10
The story was absolutely fantastic. It felt like the right time to allow someone of Dave Filoni’s talent to come in and continue the story that Star Wars Rebels had built up over 4 seasons and allow fans of that story to see the outcome and finally get answers to what happened to fan-favorite characters Ezra Bridger and Thrawn.
Having an important character like Ahsoka survive Order 66 and The Clone Wars and allowing her to be part of the Rebel’s story and then continue that story over the course of The Mandalorian and now her own live-action series was such a fantastic way to finish the story in a potential season 2 of Ahsoka.
Action – 10/10
The action was fantastic from the moment the show started. Seeing how easily Rosario Dawson took to moving, fighting, and portraying Ahsoka was honestly great. The action throughout the season had everything from lightsabers to blasters to explosions.
Within this season there were countless epic fight scenes and honestly, they were some of the best in Star Wars, especially the fight between Ahsoka and Morgan in the finale.
Characters – 10/10
Honestly, I do not believe there was a single bad character that appeared in this show. Everyone was portrayed incredibly well and some actors took their roles to the next level like Rosario, Hayden, and Ray. The characters that were brought over from animation like Huyang were incredible too.

Entertainment – 9/10
The show was almost perfect in terms of entertainment. The only issues were the delayed appearance of Thrawn and some slow moments. However, overall, it was an extremely enjoyable experience, with only a few small complaints that brought it down from a 10 to a 9.
Episodes – 10/10
The Disney Star Wars shows have one advantage over the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is having episodes of perfect length without unnecessary long credits. The show’s pacing was perfect, and the number of episodes was just right, allowing the story to unfold smoothly and quickly. Even when the show veered off the main storyline, it was still relevant, as we’ll discuss in the “favorite episode” section.
Antagonist – 10/10
If we were basing this purely on Thrawn it would not be a 10/10. It would be like a 9. The reason why we decided on it being a 10 is simply because of how many antagonists there actually were within the show. We had Thrawn, Shin, Baylan, Morgan, Marrok, and countless stormtroopers who turned into the undead.
I feel like within the show each antagonist played their part. Shin easily got the best of Sabine in episode 1, Ahsoka got beaten down by Baylan with some heavy strikes, Morgan destroyed one of Ahsoka’s sabers and Thrawn outsmarted everyone.
Quality – 10/10
Zero complaints. Nada. Acting? Fantastic. CGI? Perfect. Mistakes? None. If we are to make some positive comments then Ray Stevenson deserves a special shoutout in this section alone because he was absolutely quality in every aspect. It’s still so sad that he will never truly know how much his performance as Baylon was appreciated by every Star Wars fan. I wish he were here just to see how much he was loved.
Rest easy, Ray.
Favorite Episode
I think as avid Star Wars fans, we couldn’t have a favorite episode other than the World Between Worlds episode. From the moment Hayden returned in episode 4 we knew the next episode was going to be an easy 10/10. Within that episode, we got to see live-action Clone Wars, Rex, Hayden portraying his animated counterpart, and more. It was some of the best Star Wars content in recent history.
Worst Episode
I need to admit that I was wrong. I have re-evaluated episode 4 and my initial rating of 7.6/10 was inaccurate. I want to be open and honest when I make mistakes, so I am admitting that I was wrong.
After reconsidering, I would give this episode an 8.7+ rating. I want to clarify that this episode was not the best of the series, but it was still a great episode. It was the weakest episode in a series of fantastic episodes. I still had issues with Sabine’s willingness to betray Ahsoka, but overall it was a well-done episode and deserved a higher rating.
Episodes & Their Ratings
Episode 1: Master and Apprentice – 10/10
Episode 2: Toil and Trouble – 8.9/10
Episode 3: Time to Fly – 9.6/10
Episode 4: Fallen Jedi – 7.6/10
Episode 5: Shadow Warrior – 10/10
Episode 6: Far, Far Away – 9.2/10
Episode 7: Dreams and Madness – 9/10
Episode 8: The Jedi, The Witch, And The Warlord – 10/10
Average rating – 9.3/10
Our Overall Rating 9.8/10
It can be confidently said that Ahsoka was an exceptional character in the grand scheme of things. Her portrayal proved that having Dave Filoni involved in the project guarantees success. Additionally, the combination of Legends and Canon elements resulted in some highly enjoyable moments.
Does It Deserve Another Season?
It is highly justifiable for Ahsoka to be granted a second season, given the manner in which the show concluded. It is not merely because of the audience’s eagerness for it, but rather due to the plethora of possibilities that emerged from the final episode. The reappearance of Thrawn, Sabine and Ahsoka’s failure to return, Ezra’s alliance with the New Republic, and the story of Baylon all offer various avenues to be explored. Therefore, if there is any show that demands a second season, it is undoubtedly Ahsoka.
