What I Liked

1. With this episode, we’re teleported back to 2012 when Iron Man and the Avengers save New York when Iron Man carries a nuke into space but only this time, doesn’t manage to fall back through the hole in the sky and falls onto Sakaar.

2. I love how this episode has switched up the story on Sakaar. Not only have they switched Hulk for Iron Man but switched the arena game from fighting to racing, something Tony Stark is good at. It’s also nice that they’ve kept Valkyrie and Korg in the story while adding Gamora.

3. Gamora is actively trying to kill Tony because of him having stopped Thano’s army in the battle of New York back in the first Avengers movie. I do also like how Tony hesitated to push the button to electrocute Gamora even more and decided to save the people of Sakaar instead.

4. Even in the middle of a death match, Tony finds the time to give a motivational speech to Gamora telling her that Thanos doesn’t get to decide who she is, he asks her “Who are you? Daughter of Thanos or your own person”.

5. Gamora brings Tony to Thanos. This was a setup by the newly formed duo. While Thanos is about to give a speech, Gamora leaps at him while Tony throws her a weapon which melts Thanos. Gamora in this universe, got her wish of stopping the mad titan.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would simply be the Hot Wheels-type death match that Tony and the others participated in. It was wild and crazy, it had a pod-race feel to it from Star Wars which I loved.

Standout Character

I have no choice but to give this to Tony. Seeing him, the 2012 version still be this fantastic hero who stands up for the little guy is amazing.

Verdict

Overall a fantastic story that accumulated some great action, great dialogue, and great moments. Seeing the team of Gamora and Tony come together to make a plan to kill Thanos was amazing and Kind of amazing as a team.
