The Batman 2 Delayed Until October 2nd, 2026

The Batman has officially been delayed by a full year. This comes as no surprise and we expected this to be the case.

Due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes last year, a lot of projects were pushed back as a result. Warner Bros. wasn’t immune to those pushbacks. Marvel was also a victim of delays in projects as well.

Robert Pattinson will put the cowl back on and we’ll see him again in 2 and a half years. It’s a lengthy time and it makes sense. It shows how impactful those strikes were.

2024 is set to be a quiet year for superhero movies on the big screen with Marvel only dropping 1 film with Deadpool 3. Joker’s sequel is still set for a 2024 release so that will mean the two powerhouses will only be dropping 1 film each.

We’ll see how the news plays out and if any other future DC projects will be affected as well.

DC is adamant on a reboot of their universe so there is several projects to look forward to. I trust James Gunn to do the right thing, the same way I trust Matt Reeves to do the right thing in a Batman sequel.
