Marvel has removed an untitled film set for a July 24, 2026 release from their scheduled calendar.
They will now release 3 films in 2026, which would be 2 untitled films that would release on February 13 and November with Avengers: Doomsday releasing in May of that year.
This also keeps the division’s mandate that Disney CEO Bob Iger has stated that they plan to output two to three feature films per year.
Along with the removal of the untitled film, Marvel officially announced that the titles for Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts were updated with Fantastic Four now being titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”.
Surprisingly, Marvel’s Blade movie remains dated for a November 7, 2025 release, even though the film which was first announced way back in 2019 with Mahershala Ali, currently has no director attached. Kevin Feige stated that the studio intends to keep developing the screenplay for the project until they feel it’s ready, Feige also not mentioning the film at the panel at Comic-Con when discussing the 2025 Marvel film slate.
