What I Liked

1. Oz generally has some morals. He knows Vic put his ass on the line for him returning and pulling him out of the way of the situation. Vic tells him that he’s sorry for crashing his “chariot” meaning his car. Oz tells him that him putting his ass on the line for Oz is more than 1000 cars.

2. The relationship between Oz and Vic is truly great. Oz has known Vic for what? 5 minutes? OZ would not even trust one of his own men watching over and protecting his mother, but he allows Vic to do it. He knows Vic is trustworthy, he knows how nice Vic can also be.

3. Oz receives a phone call from Salvatore Maroni and he threatens him telling Oz “He’s cooked”. Oz tells him that it’s funny after what has just happened with his wife and son. I found it hilarious that Oz just came out and said this.

4. Sofia Falcone might be one of the best-written villains in the entire Matt Reeves universe. She’s just truly great to watch. She steals each scene that she’s in and this scene where she goes in front of the remaining syndicate members and admits she killed the higher-ups was fantastic. When she begins speaking of her plan, Johnny Vitti starts to tell her to slow down but she just ends up pulling the trigger on him.

What I Disliked

Another week of nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be when Oz meets with Nadia Maroni, he has a prison guard kill Salvatore Maroni in prison. Oz has Nadia’s son as a hostage. Nadia has her men ambush Oz but Oz and his soldier manage to survive while Oz watches as Nadia and her son burn alive. Oz receives a phone call from Salvatore Maroni and he threatens him telling Oz “He’s cooked”. Oz tells him that it’s funny after what has just happened with his wife and son.

Standout Character

I am going to give this to Oz this week. This week we saw him truly be brutal, truly put that foot down, and leave his mark on the families of Gotham who are all after that power.

Verdict

Honestly, this was a big episode episode for a few reasons. We saw the aftermath of what Sofia did in the previous episode while we saw Oz take one more step to taking the crown of Gotham. While One family was ridden, a new family was born.

Rating: 9.4/10
