Tom Holland Reveals “Spider-Man 4” Begins Filming Next Summer

Recently, Tom Holland appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Fallon spoke about Spider-Man 4 and what Tom could reveal about the upcoming fourth installment to the franchise of Spider-Man.

Tom told Fallon “It’s happening, Next Summer, we start shooting. Everything is good to go. We’re nearly there, it’s super exciting. Yeah, I can’t wait.” You can watch the entire interview below;

During a separate interview on Good Morning America, Holland teased the fourth film “The idea is crazy, it’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are really going to respond to it.

In another interview with Rich Roll Podcast, Holland also shared that he and Zendaya have already read drafts of a script, Holland said “I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at time were bouncing around the living room like “this is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.” But there’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going, but it’s exciting.”

Last month, it was reported that Destin Daniel Cretton was in talks to direct the film, taking over for filmmaker Jon Watts. Watts previously directed the previous three Holland-lead Spider-Man films while Marc Webb helmed the two Amazing Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield and Sam Raimi directed the trilogy that featured Tobey Maguire.

The fourth film will be written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers while Marvel head Kevin Feige and former head of Sony Amy Pascal are producing the film. As of now, the story is unclear on what it will be as No Way Home ended with the world forgetting that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
