Chris Evans Set For Marvel Return In “Avengers: Doomsday”

Reports are coming out today that Chris Evans is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsday.

While we did see the return of Chris in the third installment in the Deadpool franchise “Deadpool & Wolverine” as his previous superhero identity, Johnny Storm.

According to The Wrap, Chris will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of the cast for the Avengers: Doomsday movie. A sequel that will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr as the iconic Dr. Doom.

While reports state that Evans will return and will be involved in some capacity, the true extent and exact role is currently unknown and will potentially stay that way until the movie releases.

The Russo Brothers, who directed both Evans and Downey Jr in “Captain America: Civil War”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, and “Avengers: Endgame”, are returning to direct the sequel and it’s direct sequel “Avengers: Secret Wars”.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently slated for release on May 1, 2026.
