It’s been a little while now since gamers have heard anything about the video game coming from Skybound that is focused on the hit series “Invincible”. Skybound initially revealed details about the ambitious triple-A title for Invincible and crowdfunded more than half a million dollars for it.
Now, with the third season of the Amazon Prime show coming to an end, Robert Kirkman has provided an update on it. Recently speaking with Dexterto, Kirkman was initially hesitant to say anything about the project but did provide some information about it.
Kirkman stated: “I’m going to play it safe, and just say, from what I have seen, I am more excited than I’ve been about anything involving Invincible”. With what falls under the Invincible catalog, this is a massive claim from the creator himself.
The game must have some decent progress made within it to have the creator of the character himself pleased with the video game. While it’s great for Kirkman to be excited about the video game, fans themselves can’t get too excited as we know nothing about the video game.
When the announcement was first made about the game, it was revealed that it would be a “premium model with multiple DLC expansions”. The team working on it is made up of developers who have previously worked on games at Activision Blizzard, EA, and Epic Games.
While we have not heard or seen anything regarding this game and have no indication of when we will see anything, this is not a bad thing. Wonder Woman was in development for less time and was recently canceled, Insomniac Games’s Wolverine was announced over three years ago and other than some leaks, we’ve heard literally nothing about that.
If this game has been shown to the creator and has even amazed him, then I do not want to see it until it’s officially completed.
