The Last of Us is down with many fans as one of the best games to ever be released. Naughty Dog became incredibly admired all over the world because of that, more so than Uncharted and Crash Bandicoot.
Fans were hyped, I was beyond excited to recently learn the game would be released a day after my birthday. I have annual leave then, so I was so ready to unwind and play the life out of it.
I will get to my thoughts shortly. We heard an ex-employee of Naughty Dog released the script and many leaked videos of the plot. I will not release them here as it’s not my place.
The leaks caused havoc on Twitter, Reddit, and many other social media platforms. You will often find a lot of this masked behind the recent news the game will be over 100GB.
It’s difficult to post many screenshots without spoiling the game itself. However, here are a few;
Fans are also jumping on Naughty Dog for allegedly mistreating their employees, which they believe ultimately caused the ex-employee to leak everything.
Moving on to my thoughts; I will not be buying this game. I read the leak accidentally, but truth be told I am glad I did. I also watched some of the leaked footage and I’m struggling to be impressed by anything they have done.
I’m also incredibly disappointed the company chose to go down this route instead of sticking to what we know and love from the first game.
I will hold out after release to see what people’s thoughts are, but as of right now I am devastated.
Seeing the Twitter posts, comments on Facebook, Reddit posts – I can certainly see why a lot of fans are angry right now.
The leaks are not for me to post, or share. You can find them relatively easy but do so at your own discretion as they do contain spoilers. Even the ending of the game.
If you want to ignore everything, Naughty Dog is encouraging you to do this so you get the best experience out of the game.
