Unfortunately like many events this year have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Including the popular event, San Diego Comic-Con.
Comic-Con is usually an exciting time for comic fans across the world as new trailers are showcased, new movies and shows are announced, new merchandise is released, and even in some instances, video games are shown.
It’s mostly an exciting time for many, but of course, I understand the reasoning behind cancelling the event this year for safety reasons to everyone attending and involved in making the event happen.
Myself. and others have been worried about where these usual announcements are going to come from now the event is cancelled.
Are they just going to show them normally through social media avenues?
Step in – DC FanDome!
A 24-hour virtual live event, set to showcase everything upcoming for DC. Personally, I think this is a fantastic move on Warner Bros part. The event is set to take place on the August 22nd 2020, 10 AM PT.
We do know we’re set to see trailers, or other news for movies such as The Flash (finally), Wonder Woman 1984, Snyder cut’s Justice League, and more.
The CW and DC shows will likely get a roadmap to release and news relating to each current show on the roster at the moment.
Plus, I hope we do get a roadmap for the movies. Similar to the way Marvel releases theirs so fans know what’s coming in the future, and when they’re coming. It makes sense for Warner Bros to put this in place and actually stick to it.
One of the trailers I’m really hoping for, even if it’s just a standard teaser is Robert Pattinson’s Batman movie.
I think this is a great move from DC and Warner Bros to be putting this event in place. It definitely gives us something to look forward to!
