Before we start, I know Charlie Cox has shut down rumours in the past of his iteration of Daredevil being involved in Spider-Man 3, but it doesn’t mean we can’t speculate, right?
We all know at the end of Far From Home, Peter is in some deep hot water. Even with his superpowers and Avengers friends, it’s still going to be difficult for him and he will have to clear his name. Especially for the murder of Mysterio.
Now, I know the most likely thing is he’ll find a way to prove his innocence by going on the run. I’m okay with that, but it would still be pretty annoying because it’s just the predictable thing right now.
Whether or not it’s Charlie Cox coming into the fold as Daredevil doesn’t matter much, although it would be ridiculous to cast anyone else right now, it would still be epic to watch.
COVID19 pushed a lot back, including halting a lot of progress when it comes to movies and shows. Unfortunately, Spider-Man 3 was one of those.
We also know the deal with Netflix and Disney ends in November this year, meaning Disney can opt to use the actors from the Netflix Marvel shows, which means Charlie reprising his role is still in the realms of possibility even if it’s unlikely.
I mean, let’s be honest here. Charlie shut the rumours down, but is he just doing that to not spoil anything? That’s also a possibility to look at here. He’s not going to just come out and say; “HEY! I’m in Spider-Man 3 as Daredevil”.
Disney is known for keeping certain little goodies in the pipeline for their material which makes sense, why ruin something that would have a huge impact on the MCU going forward?
Matt Murdock is a lawyer, Peter is in legal issues. We know they have a great partnership in the comics. People want Charlie back as Daredevil, honestly, it just makes sense. It really does.
Despite rumours being shut down from every direction, and the possibility of this ever happening at this point seems like an impossibility, but just imagine!
Watching the trailer at the very end with Peter in an interview room, and Matt walks in; “Peter, don’t say another word. I will be representing you”. I would probably legit have to Batista Bomb myself through a table with excitement.
So, all in all, it sounds great, it sounds perfect, even if it’s probably not going to happen. But this is the MCU, right? Anything can happen, and anything does happen. I will continue to hold my hopes high that the trigger is pulled on this.
