2020 has been full of surprises and A weird year in general for many of us, but as October has rolled around, the year 2020 has hit us with another surprise, this time in the form of some news for Spider-Man 3.
Jamie Foxx is currently in final negotiations to reprise his role as Electro in the third installment of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 with Marvel. Jamie Foxx played Electro in Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie with Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.
Jon Watts is currently tied to direct the third installment as he directs the first and second Spider-Man movies. Sony has also put a date out for release for Spider-Man 3 and that is Nov. 5, 2021, although that could change with the current pandemic.
Most of the supporting cast from the previous movies including Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori are all expected to return once filming is underway.
This isn’t the first time a previous character as returned to the Spider-Man franchise as J. Jonah Jameson played by J.K Simmons returned in Spider-Man Far From Home.
This also sets up potential returns from previous other villains seen in previous Spider-Man movies. There are a few I’d like to see back including Rhino.
