Can It Be Justified? #2

Welcome to our brand new series, where we look online for the most ridiculous comments and opinions we can find. Some comments may not seem ridiculous, but cause a storm among certain fan bases we’d just love to weigh in on. We take the comment, think about it, and try to justify it to see if the comment holds any form of value whatsoever.

We will not showcase who wrote these comments, only what the comment was, and also the context in which it was written if there was any.

Please note before we start. All of these comments are based on opinion, and ours are as well. This is just meant for fun, and not offend anyone, or meant to be serious in any way.

1. The Force Unleashed 3 is officially in development

Can it be justified? No. We have had zero confirmation from any reliable source that this game is anything passed a rumour or even an idea as it currently stands. Upon research, it seems as though EA is focusing on new projects and different IP’s going forward, even potentially leaving out the popular Battlefront series.

Given how big of a Star Wars fan Sam Witwer is, I assume he would not be able to keep himself composed, and would likely drop some form of teaser if this was back in development.

2. Titans season 3 is a write off because everyone hurt Jason Todd’s feelings, and Red Hood is nothing to do with the comic lore (context: many different posts on Twitter and Facebook)

Can it be justified? No. Hell no. No one knows the story and how he becomes Red Hood. Yes, he is going to get back at the Titans because of how they treat him. We don’t know if there is going to be a time jump between season 2 and season 3. We don’t know if he was killed in that time, he could have went after the Joker and been killed. Literally we just don’t know. We can’t write off an entire season simply due to assumptive arks. No details have been released, but it’s most likely going to follow it’s own story otherwise, if it followed the comic down to the page, we would know exactly how it’s going to go.

3. Red Hood’s mask looks like Iron Man (Instagram post by Curran Walters)

Can it be justified? Yes. If you look at the mask on that particular Halloween post which seemingly could be the mask we’re going to see in season 3 of Titans, we would say it does resemble some qualities from an Iron Man mask. More so, I believe that’s always going to be the case purely because the colours are identical to some of the masks Tony Stark wears, but either way, we love it.

4. Charlie Cox is returning to the MCU as Daredevil, but not in Spider-Man 3 (a scoop reported on Twitter)

Can it be justified? Yes, to an extent. Netflix hands the rights back to Disney for Daredevil at the end of this month, and due to the soaring popularity for the character since the incredible Netflix show, it is likely the character could return to the MCU. We’re also doubtful it will be in Spider-Man 3 as well, but I do believe at some point Kevin Feige may want to bring some of the Defenders back.

I also have to disagree this is a scoop because as of right now, Netflix still hold the rights and it would be against any agreement if the news was leaking about the characters.

5. The Mandalorian is the best part of Star Wars right now

Can it be justified? Yes. The show touches on everything in Star Wars lore, comics, movies and everything else. It even touches on the Legends aspect of Star Wars. It connects the three sequels, has an incredible cast, and it’s done in such a way that every episode feels like a movie, and what’s better is we get close to an hour of it every single week. It truly is a testament as to how a Star Wars series should be done, and Jon Favreau deserves all the praise in the world.
