It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Marvel Netflix show introduction for any of the 6 shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders.
Each Netflix show had its own unique introduction whether that be a hip-hop vibe for Luke Cage to a badass rock sounding introduction for The Punisher, but which one had the best introduction and which ultimately had the worst.
6. Jessica Jones
While Jessica Jones had a solid season 1, I ultimately was let down in seasons 2-3. It also didn’t draw me in with the opening introduction to the show, it felt bland, while it did have that private investigator sound to it, it wasn’t as good as the others.
5. The Defenders
While The Defenders is a very underrated series involving the entire Netflix shows, the opening sequence was decent, it had that Avengers type feel to it and it showcased which Defenders were in the show really well with their own color.
4. Iron Fist
Iron Fist was a series which was ultimately trash-talked even from the minute the main actor was cast, even though Iron Fist is a white guy in the comics, people wanted him to be Asian. The show’s opening had that Mystical yet city vibe to its introduction which drew me to the show even more.
3. Luke Cage
I absolutely loved Luke Cage and the show’s whole vibe, it introduced us to some amazing characters and stayed true to the Harlem music. It also gave us a soft, yet great introduction song.
2. The Punisher
The Punisher’s opening sequence was amazing, from the soundtrack to the animation of all the weapons being fired and ultimately coming together to form the skull. The guitar rip in the soundtrack was also amazing.
1. Daredevil
Obviously, the best one has to be Daredevil, it was a mellow sound and the animation of the red paint flowing into New York City buildings and bridges was so unique, every time I watch a Daredevil episode I have to watch the introduction.
Honestly, the opening sequences for each Marvel Netflix shows are unique in their own way, this list is purely what I would rank them.
