Chris Evans Reportedly In Talks To Return As Captain America In The MCU

According to sources over at Deadline, it seems as though Chris Evans is nearing the end of talks with Disney to return as Steve Rogers/Captain America.

As of now, there are no details and Marvel haven’t yet commented on the situation. To be honest, they wouldn’t comment at this particular stage, similar to the rumours of Spider-Man 3 and all the potential returns.

Usually, with any rumour on a scale as such as this, I would normally advise you to take it with a pinch of salt, however, Deadline are extremely reliable so this bodes well for fans and the MCU moving forward.

There’s many different ways Chris could return to the shield, including Hydra Cap, Old-Man Cap in the Falcon series and others. I don’t expect him to get a brand new instalment or a 4th movie as this would undermine everything from Endgame, but a cameo basis similar to RDJ could work wonders. RDJ worked on Civil War and Homecoming outside of the Avengers after Iron Man 3.

With Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, anything and everything is possible, so any rumour can be seen as a possibility however this one does look set in stone.

What are your thoughts on seeing Captain America once more within the MCU?
