Hourman Film in the Works from Warner Bros, DC Films, and Chernin Entertainment

Reports are coming out from Deadline that Warner Bros., DC Comics, and Chernin Entertainment are working on a Hourman film.

Gavin James And Neil Widener will be writing the script for the latest DC film in development over at Warner Bros. and DC Comics.

Chernin Entertainment will serve as producers on the Hourman film with this being their first time developing a DC Comics film.

Originally created by Ken Fitch and Bernard Baily in 1940, the hero had three different versions, The first one being Rex Tyler, later on, in the history of Hourman, Rex Tyler’s son, Rick will himself don the mantle of Hourman.

Over the years, DC has struggled on what to do with the character of Hourman, back in 2013 they started developing a show set on Hourman but it never got picked up by the CW.

However, the character went on to make an appearance in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow where he was the leader of the Justice Society who ended up being killed by the hands of the Reverse Flash.
