Ruby Rose left Batwoman after season 1 ended, many fans came up with theories about what will happen to the role of Batwoman, what will happen to the show then Javicia Leslie was cast as Ryan Wilder a new character developed for the show.
Javicia has been a solid addition to the show and has been great in the role of Batwoman. For the most part, she’s had bad writing in the story of wrapping up Kates story but overall been a great Batwoman nonetheless.
Reports coming from Deadline and confirmed by Wallis Day, She has indeed been cast in Batwoman as an “altered” Kate. This is huge because it’s the theory I came up with before Javicia was cast, I had the theory of Kate being badly injured and having to get a new face and I even went as far as saying I’d like Wallis Day in the role.
The second half of the season will be on Kate. The second half of the season will reveal where Kate has been, and what that means for her character going forward. It’s nice that Kate has been recast because it means we don’t have to bring Ruby back.
Now the theories begin on Kate, where she’s been, and what she’s done. So many theories are floating around my head already. I’m excited to see where this goes and how Wallis does in the role of an altered Kate Kane.
Wallis Day is also no stranger to comic book shows as she was a main character on the Syfy shows Krypton. I have faith in her and she more than suits the role.
