Keanu Reeves is finally stepping into the shoes of a comic book character, more specifically a comic book character he created.
That’s right, Keanu Reeves is set to step into the live-action adaption of BRZRKR over at Netflix. Not only will he star in the live-action adaption but he’ll also star in an anime sequel series.
Both live-action adaption and the anime series will be developed and released by Netflix. This is a huge pick-up for both Netflix and Keanu Reeves.
The story follows Keanu Reeves as an immortal warrior who has a 80,000 year brutal fight throughout the ages.
Keanu Reeves will produce and star in the film as well as lend his voice for the anime. The new projects will be an expansion on the 12-episode limited series, which originated from an idea Reeves had been developing for a number of years.
The BRZRKR live-action film is set to be released first followed by the anime series further expanding the “BRZRKR” universe by exploring different elements of the story.
The BRZRKR comics have already been a massive success for BOOM! Studios since its release on March 3rd, with the inaugural issue, has sold over 615,000 copies making it the highest-selling debut in almost 30 years.
