Sony Pictures has just dropped the first official trailer for their Venom sequel “Venom: Let There be Carnage” and It is very interesting.
The trailer showcased a grown friendship between Venom and Eddie, as well as the duo protecting Mrs. Cheng and being a hero throughout the city.
Throughout the trailer we get to see Cletus Kasady in prison writing to Eddie Brock, we also get to see hints at him becoming the great villain of Carnage.
First thoughts and Opinions
The first thought is that the trailer looked amazing and did its job of getting me invested and showcasing just enough of the villain to make me like him. Woody Harrelson looks, sounds, and portrays Cletus very well.
Obviously Tom Hardy once again embodies Eddie Brock, I don’t know if it was just me but it sounded like Venom’s voice had slightly changed, though that could have been me not having seen Venom 1 in a long time.
I really liked Venom 1, I was one of the ones who defended this movie from the get-go, I’ll do the same with this one so for me, this movie has a big challenge of matching Venom 1 but with the villain being Carnage I see that becoming the best Venom movie to date.
