Season 2 episode 3 “The Rebels gain advantage against General Zod; Seg goes head-to-head with Brainiac.”
What Was Good?
1. Brainiac is slowly trying to take over Seg’s mind and body because he needs a host. Seg then goes into a trance and we see a Seg inside his own mind, barely hanging on talking to Brainiac. It’s green for will power, hinting at Green Lanterns. Brainiac tells Seg he’s chosen to live on inside him, While Brainiac can see Seg’s memories, Seg can also see Brainiac’s and saw where he was created on Colu.
2. Jayna-Zod wants to seek revenge and kill General Zod for disrupting Krypton and the Segatari and manipulating Lyta.
3. Seg and Adam are on the run from a very angry Lobo who is hunting them to kill both of them as well as Brainiac. After the showdown (queue the holy shit moment) Seg and Adam make it back to Krypton, the land on the outerlands which gives off a few questions..
What happened to Brainiac? What happened between Lobo, Seg and Adam while Seg was out cold?
What Was Bad?
1. Nyssa Vex has been searching for Seg and her father while pretending to be a part of the resistance but in reality she’s been serving herself. Informing Zod of the resistance’s plans.
2. This is episode 3 and we haven’t saw Seg’s best friend from Season 1.. well we see him this episode for a couple of minute, He’s with Zod’s forces on the front line with a different personality, Does he still remember Seg?
Holy Shit Moment
Seg and Adam reach the point on Colu where Brainiac was “shit” out in the words of Lobo. Lobo arrives and goes to shoot Adam while Seg is connected to the super computer, There is a force field up which slices Lobo’s hand clean off and the arm falls into the room. Lobo’s reaction to this was absolutely hilarious calling Adam a “tiny little turd” for cutting his favorite body part off. Lobo out smarts them and blows his head off in front of Adam, Revealing his can regenerate from any part of his body he chooses. Lobo with half a body chases Adam like something from a horror movie.
The Verdict
A fairly decent episode, lot of funny moments from Adam and Lobo. The hints at the Green Lanterns is getting too much now… JUST GIVE US A GREEN LANTERN. Lobo just smashes his scenes.
