Season 6 Episode 7 “The Legends make a last-ditch effort to keep Sara from being abducted, even knowing that it will after the timeline; Sara is shocked when Rory finds her on the mystery planet.”
What I Liked?
1. The episode begins with the Legends grieving for Sara, While I do not like the direction they took with the character of Sara Lance, the opening to this episode seeing each member of the Legends grieve for Sara was actually really touching.
2. Constantine gets invested in Behrad’s plan of resetting the timeline because this means if the timeline resets, he receives his magic back and he’ll essentially feel whole again. When Constantine and Zari are talking while walking out of the club, Ava spots them walking out, and immediately the previous versions of Constantine and Zari walk out of another door, this causes Ava to stop the plan of resetting the timeline. I liked this scene because we got to see Charlie back even though it seemed to be reused footage from last seasons finale.
3. Mick, Kayla, Garry, and Sara are running to the ship when they get attacked by the aliens, we get to see the squad fight the aliens, well apart from Gary that is, Kayla gets captured by a group of aliens causing Mick, Sara, and Gary to leave her behind. While this was a short fight scene, I did notice that the aliens are afraid of the light, this could come into play further into the season if Spooner or Sara act out.
What I Disliked?
1. This is one of the reasons that the show has strayed so far away from the top quality it used to be, fourth-wall breaking only works for some characters, but the Legends it shouldn’t work for them, one of the scenes was ruined because of it when Nate and Astra mentioned last season’s finale and a previous season’s finale. Such a huge dislike for me personally.
2. My next dislike is purely a character, Behrad. He was fun when he first debuted, the twist that came with his introduction was amazing, especially for what the season was like, but now, all he does is eat, barely use his powers, and smokes weed, he’s a useless character, Mick Rory is one of the most underused characters on the show and he’s a better character than Behrad.
3. Bishop is such a terrible villain, he isn’t even that bad compared to some previous villains on the show like Vandal Savage, Reverse-Flash, and Damian Darhk. He’s just straight-up annoying, the actor is bad, and his writing is even worse, just such a messy villain.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment once again came from Mick Rory, the scene where he sees Sara and she completely breaks down because she’s now a clone, he tells her that he doesn’t see the damage on her, he only sees Captain Lance, he only sees Sara Lance, his oldest friend on the Wavderider, this was a really huge moment for Mick.
Standout Character
Mick deserved it this week because he truly let out his feelings for his oldest friend in Sara since those two are the only OG’s left on the Waverider now.
The Verdict
Honestly, this episode was an average episode, the story, dialogue, villains, and most of the Legends scenes were absolutely bad. The action was decent, there was a lot of it in this episode which saved it a lot. Mick and Sara’s relationship was the best thing about this episode.
