James Gunn has created and directed what seems to be one hell of a laugh with his latest and upcoming movie, The Suicide Squad. With a few returning characters from the previous incarnation of The Suicide Squad, with many new and obscure DC Comic characters debuting in live-action.
The roster is huge, like, insanely huge. It’s in the name of the movie, “The Suicide Squad” so obviously not every character will make it to the end of the movie alive, especially with the mindset James has. I can see him throwing in some crazy death scenes.
In this article, I’ll explain my top 5 death predictions for who I personally think will die or be killed off.
5. Savant played by Michael Rooker
Michael Rooker followed in the footsteps of James and came over from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and is debuting in a DC film as Savant, now I don’t know much about this character, but knowing the friendship that Michael and James have, I can easily pick Savant being one to go out in an explosion or a badass way.
4. Arm-Fall-Off-Boy played by Nathan Fillion
Another obscure character and one I don’t know, however, I do know Nathan Fillion, he’s a great actor and many people didn’t expect him to be cast in this movie. With this obscure character, I can not see him making it to the end of the movie. I can see this character being killed off quite quickly and easily.
3. Polka Dot Man played by David Dastmalchian
Surprisingly, Polka Dot Man is one character who has surprised me in the promotional material and trailers, originally I thought this was a joke character, similar to Slipknot in the first Suicide Squad movie. In the trailers, I’ve watched and always looked forward to seeing this character. I do feel as though James would be that messed up and to kill off Polka Dot Man. (I hope he doesn’t).
2. Blackguard played by Pete Davidson
Another who has surprised me from the trailers, I’ve recently been watching some films which Pete Davidson has been in, he’s hilarious, he’s got a long future in acting ahead of him. From what it looks like from the trailers, in the final battle of the movie, a lot of characters are not scene, Pete’s character is one of them, this is why I believe his character will be killed off, although as the same with Polka Dot Man and my next point, I hope he isn’t.
1. Captain Boomerang played by Jai Courtney
Ever since Jai Courtney was cast way back when I instantly loved his character, Jai’s performance as Boomerang actually made me realize just how much I love him as a Flash villain in all aspects of his character. He’s one of the “OG’s” of The Suicide Squad, I feel like he’s the most logical one of the original lot which could be killed off…
While I think we will see other characters be potentially killed off, these five are my main suspects who I believe will be killed off in the upcoming The Suicide Squad movie in August.
Another character I believe will be killed is John Cena’s Peacemaker. I just find it strange that he’s getting all the recognition in the trailers, in people’s tweets, and is the only one to receive an HBO Max series, and it’s a prequel no less…
Anyway, I am super excited to see the movie, I am a huge fan of The Suicide Squad and James Gunn so I have full faith that he will deliver one epic movie.
