Season 1 Episode 8 “Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton seek to destroy killer-robot Ultron following a cataclysmic event.”
What I Liked?
1. The episode begins in this timeline slightly post-Age of Ultron where we see the world in ruins, with many Ultron bots flying after Black Widow while she rides a motorbike, we then get to see our second hero, Hawkeye, who’s taking many bots out from on top of a building, we see that Clint has a mechanical arm which gets shot of by a bot, both the bot and Clint fall of the roof with Black Widow saying Clint before he’s killed.
2. The Watcher explains what has happened in this timeline, how the events of the timeline played out similar to that of Age of Ultron, however, The Avengers didn’t retrieve the body of Vision and Ultron did so he completed his transformation. This Ultron is absolutely ruthless, he flies around the globe setting of Nukes and taking down The Avengers, Thanos arrives from a portal behind Ultron and is immediately killed by Ultron who takes the Infinity Stones, and then we just see how brutal he is, he doesn’t stop with Earth, we see him destroy Asguard, The Sovereign, Sakaar, EGO, and Xander, before killing Captain Marvel who has come to stop him.
3. My next point is something that has been teased all season long, The Watcher being caught by someone he is watching in a universe. It began with Doctor Strange, and then in this episode was developed highly because of Ultron being able to know he was there while he was explaining this universe, Ultron then breaks into The Watchers realm and sees all of the universes he could destroy. Absolutely insane.
4. Black Widow and Hawkeye go on a last-ditch effort to find the last copy of Zola, they find him and make him help them, while they were searching for Zola, Hawkeye mentions that he’s too tired to fight and to survive, they continue with the plan until they get attacked by hundreds of bots and try to escape, a similar situation to Endgame plays out in this scene where Clint falls from a high but is caught by Black Widow, he looks and tells Natasha that he doesn’t want to fight anymore, he lets go, falls into the Bots but not before firing an arrow which explodes killing all the bots, as well as himself. Absolutely a great scene, loved seeing it play out.

Nothing to report this week.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment was definitely the fight between Ultron and The Watcher, this fight scene was absolutely insane, well developed and the visuals were absolutely stunning. They fight that hard that they literally go to different universes, Ultron manages to get on top of The Watcher and just pummels him into the ground with each punch-changing reality. The Watcher manages to get away from Ultron and goes and recruits Doctor Strange Supreme from earlier in the season.
Standout Character
Without a doubt, Ultron takes this. He was absolutely ruthless and brutal for the entire episode, he sort out a plan, executed that plan, and picked a fight with arguably one of the most powerful beings in the entire universe.
The Verdict
Hands down, the best episode of the entire season thus far. The story was actually really interesting, the visuals were beautiful, the pacing of the episode felt just right, and the action, oh my lord, the action was absolutely insane. This version of Ultron was absolutely perfect, he was brutal, ruthless, and not afraid to pick a fight with someone more powerful than him.
