Star Wars Looks Set To Have A Huge Year On Disney+ In 2022

The Star Wars franchise always seems to generate a love-hate relationship amongst fans. The Mandalorian is loved by almost everyone in the same way Rogue One is, then there are the Sequels that generate such a divide between many fans.

One thing to note is that Disney has one of the biggest IPs in the world, and they won’t make the same mistakes again even despite the Sequels being a massive gain financially.

In 2022 so far, there are 4 shows set to be showcased during the year.

  1. The Book of Boba Fett
  2. The Bad Batch (season 2)
  3. Obi-Wan Kenobi
  4. Andor
  5. The Mandalorian (season 3)

Boba Fett’s standalone series will air in December 2021 and will likely run until February 2022, with a short break in between and the reports are currently slating Obi-Wan’s release for May, but also could go to the second season of The Bad Batch.

With 5 shows running through 2022, it seems plausible there won’t be many weeks going by that we don’t have something new for Star Wars.

It surely is an exciting time to be a fan of the franchise, considering Disney is going all out on the series with even further shows announced for the years ahead.

Although the movie side seems to have dropped off a bit, I don’t mind. With how well done The Mandalorian is, it doesn’t matter that I don’t get that big-screen experience as the budgets seem huge for the shows.

Out of the five shows set to air, which one are you most excited for? Let us know down in the comments below.
