A New Pokemon Live-Action Series in Early Development at Netflix

According to a report from Variety, A new Pokemon live-action series is in early development over at Netflix.

The project is still in early development so details are basically non-existent at the minute, what we do know is that it’s from ‘Lucifer’s’ Joe Henderson. Henderson is rumored to be attached to write and executive produce the live-action series.

The project would be a live-action series similar to the “Detective Pikachu” film starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith that was released in 2019.

This announcement comes just mere weeks after Netflix has promised to dive into more game-related projects, while Pokemon is more cartoon/anime, I can not help but wonder if this is something involved with this new promise Netflix has made.

While no details have been revealed yet, I wonder if we’ll see Ryan Reynolds or Justice Smith, or even have a mention of them, that’s even if this new live-action series is set in the same world/universe as the Detective Pikachu movie.

A question has also been raised, will we see Ash appear or even be the main character in this new live-action Netflix series? I hope we do.
