Alfred Molina Returning as Doc Ock in “Spider-Man 3”

So Spider-Man 3 is currently filming, we’ve had news of who will return from Tom Holland to Zendaya, We’ve also had confirmation that Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange.

It’s shaping up to be a great movie, as always with a Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then the rumors started flying around from a potential Spider-Verse movie to Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire returning as their version of the Peter Parker character.

We also had confirmation that Jamie Foxx will return as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie. This is the first connection to a previous Spider-Man franchise.

Although a couple of weeks ago a rumor that Alfred Molina will return as Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2 in the Tobey Maguire franchise. This is now confirmed to be happening, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sony has dated for Dec. 17, 2021, and has Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts back at the helm.

With Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, and now Alfred Molina all confirmed to have some role in the movie, this now ties every single Spider-Man franchise together.

Now in my personal opinion. I’m not sure I’m happy about this, The movie has 3 major players back for Spider-Man 3, Doctor Strange, Doc Ock, and Electro, with Tobey and Andrew both rumored, it seems that the movie cast will be stacked.

It also kind of feels like Tom Holland is once again getting pushed to the side in his own solo movie. It’s beginning to feel a lot similar to the Civil War movie and how that was basically a team-up movie yet classed as a Captain America movie.

I’ll be debating if I like this up until I see a trailer for the movie, it’ll take time but hopefully, I come to learn to like it.
