Aspyr has made a complete mess of the KOTOR remake. It’s pretty much been confirmed at this point the game is dead and likely won’t ever be released.
As a huge fan of Star Wars and this series, to say I’m disappointed is a complete understatement.
The reveal trailer really hyped it all up. This was going to be THE Star Wars game. There’s a lot of stuff coming to look forward to but this was going to be the cake topper.
Star Wars fans have had their fair share of disappointment when it comes to gaming. It’s only really been the Jedi series that’s without flaws it seems in comparison to the two Battlefront games and Squadrons.
This would easily have been one of the top game years on the year it’s been released and now if Aspyr doesn’t do anything with the rights then this game will never be remade.
That’s why the rights should be sold on to an actual capable studio that can give this game the love and care it deserves.
At least if a competent studio picks up the game then fans interest and excitement can once again peak. It needs to be done. The original game is a gem and is always frequently discussed when talking about the top Star Wars game.
It hasn’t been fully confirmed that the game’s dead but from the reports we’re reading, it certainly looks to be the case which is just a damn shame.
I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now, Just full stop. This game is not being worked on in any way, at any studio.
