Batwoman “Antifreeze” Review

Season 3 Episode 4 – When Ryan makes Gotham’s `30 Under 30′ list, Luke worries about how Marquis’s involvement in Ryan’s rising popularity as Wayne Enterprises’ acting CEO will land with Jada; Mary returns from a late night out not feeling quite herself.

What I Liked

1. Sophie’s sister Jordan falls victim to an attack where we see Mr. Freeze’s equipment used to freeze her. Whoever created the look did a very good job it looks so realistic, and Sophie’s acting surrounding the attack on her sister is was incredible.

2. While digging through Jordan’s apartment Alice and Sophie are confronted by “Black Glove”. Up until they got knocked out and tied up I did appreciate Alice and Sophie’s fighting skills, even if they were short-lived.

What I Disliked

1. Okay so Mary has been thrown to the ground by Poison Ivy, dragged through the hedges, and yet her hair, makeup, and clothes are still perfectly intact. Very unrealistic.

2. I’m sorry but why is Mary being completely fobbed off by the team? First with Luke and his PTSD, and now they don’t even have the time to hear her out about what happened to her in the park.

Favourite Moment

So the Black Glove group is working with Jada, and she now has the freeze serum to use as she wishes, however it seems the first person she wants to use it on is her son. Her storyline is shaping up to be a lot darker than I originally thought.

Standout Character

Even though she was only in the episode a handful of times I’m going to give the standout to Jada. Her moments in the episode were just the most impactful from destroying Wayne Enterprises to planning an attack against her son.

Verdict

A bang average episode this week, the ending was quite interesting and I’m intrigued to see what it leads to next, but as for the rest of the episode, I can’t say I was very entertained throughout.
