I think by now, everyone expected this to happen. Marvel Studios and Disney have once again delayed Black Widow. This time although the delay is different than usual.
The film which now will release on July 9, 2021, will release in theaters and on Disney+. The move comes after a series of slight changes in the 2021 film release schedule.
Black Widow was initially intended to release more than a year ago in May of 2020 however, the pandemic and many shutdowns in theaters and gatherings saw Black Widow fall to November of 2020 then May of 2021.
Now, the Black Widow movie is slated for a summer of 2021 release. This isn’t the only delay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings has also been delayed until September 3, 2021.
I think by now, many people have just asked for a Disney+ release so I’m glad Disney is finally deciding on releasing it on Disney+ as well as theaters.
Many people will love to watch it on Disney+ as it’s been proven that Marvel does well on Disney+ with shows WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier which recently became the most-watched series premiere on Disney+.
What do you think? Is this a good move from Marvel?
