Warner Bros. and HBO Max are currently creating a Batgirl movie purely for the streaming service. Leslie Grace has been cast as Batgirl for a while now with recent castings being revealed.
The latest casting is none other than Doom Patrol’s very own Brendan Fraser set to join Leslie Grace in Batgirl. While the plot is being kept under wraps, it is known that Brendan will be playing the villain “Firefly” in the upcoming HBO Max exclusive movie, with reports coming from Deadline.
The Batgirl movie is being directed by Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
The film is scheduled to be one of the first DC properties to debut exclusively on the streaming platform. Christina Hodson wrote the script with Kristin Burr producing.
Brendan joins the list of new castings along with Jacob Scipio who joins the film as a newcomer while J.K. Simmons is onboard to reprise his role of the iconic Commissioner Gordon.
This casting is fantastic news as Brendan Fraser has had a career resurgence in the past year which is truly great to see.
