It’s safe to say I’ve had my fair share of digs against Legends of Tomorrow which I do feel were fully justified.
Season 5 is looming on us and we already know the team will be basking in some form of new found fame, which Sara will be embracing.
My criticism is never budged, but I am often asked; “how would you change it?”
The Legends primary goal is time travel. That should be enough to do so much more instead of fighting against a unicorn and the Fairy Godmother.
Season 1 had so much potential with Vandal Savage. It was serious, had a solid plot, and ark from the very beginning. It wasn’t long after season 1 the series became a chore to watch. Let’s give a special mention to the Star City 2046 episode. It was absolutely incredible. It’s an episode I still remember.
This is the type of stuff I expect. I don’t care for the Legends travelling to stupid times. I want to see cameos.
Terry McGinnis could be a game changer. Don and Dawn Allen, the Tornado Twins just to name a few I’d love to see from the future.
Where’s Blue Beetle that was teased? Any Lantern? This is just cameos that I feel would be incredible to see.
Now, realistically as much as I’m being selfish in wanting those heroes. Ultimately the show has went too far. It’s not funny. I get some people would find it funny but I really don’t. I know a number of people that completely switched off from the show.
It needs to begin with a serious ark, a proper villain, and a real storyline which makes sense. The time travelling stuff has gone too far now. They need to go back to the drawing board and really hit ground.
The show has been renewed for season 6, however I feel this move is suicidal if the next season doesn’t deliver.
As much as I criticise the show, I really want it to do well. I desperately want to enjoy it. More importantly, it has the potential to be the top DC show. I say potential a lot, but it has a monumental amount. It has that creative edge where, if it’s done right, it could be on a similar level to The Flash.
Of course, this is just my own personal opinion on this. I would love to get your guys opinion on this as I’m curious to see what your standpoint is on the show.
Comment down below. Do you agree with me? Do you enjoy the show, and if so, why? Or do you think the show has truly ran its course?
