Obi-Wan Kenobi is now 3 episodes deep into the “first” season and I use quotations lightly because of the latest rumor I’ll go into detail shortly.
One character or actor we have not met yet, who is confirmed for the series, and has been very vocal about the series, the racist comments, and more on Twitter is the great O’Shea Jackson Jr.
While we know he’s in the series, his character is still yet to be named, revealed, or even shown in the series, so who could he be playing? Well, my guess is, he could be potentially playing my personal favorite Jedi, Quinlan Vos.
Now hear me out. While O’Shea is younger than Ewan McGregor, the makeup artists behind the scenes could easily add some makeup to make him look older. The series, or should I be more specific, episode 3 of Obi-Wan Kenobi seemingly made the name “Quinlan” an important topic.
Firstly, Tala mentioned that Quinlan was a bit part of “The Path” helping Jedi survivors and people to escape from the clutches of the Empire. She mentioned that he came through many times and helped. Obi-Wan then read his name on the wall with the saying “Only when the eyes are closed can you truly see.”
So, could O’Shea be playing the once complicated and undercover Jedi in the series? We know he survived Order 66, it would make perfect sense to see Quinlan come out of hiding and help his friend in his time of need.
Quinlan Vos was a great Jedi because of his abilities and his determination to go undercover as a Sith throughout the Clone Wars. He turned to the Dark side and back again. He also shared the same Jedi ability as Cal Kestis.
I would love to see O’Shea as Quinlan, I believe he could bring the character to life in live-action.
Now, if the writers and directors wanted to add Quinlan into the series in the rumored season 2 of the series and want someone else to play the character, I have the perfect choice for Quinlan.
Martin Sensmeier would suit the role of Quinlan just as well as O’Shea Jackson Jr. I think either one of these actors could do the character of Quinlan Vos justice in live-action.
Martin Sensmeier was incredible in The Magnificent Seven, where he performed incredibly well alongside some big names in the industry.
Martin Sensmeier could bring his Alaska Native heritage to the role of Quinlan as well to make him unique.
