CW’s Supergirl Will End After Season 6

It comes as no surprise that Supergirl’s end will finally arrive at the end of a rumoured 20-episode season 6.

There isn’t much to go on with a reason other than it will definitely end. A lot of speculation is surrounding the Superman and Lois show set to air next year.

Which in turn, makes sense considering a lot of Supergirl’s lore is through Superman anyway.

It could also reflect on that Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood had a baby boy very recently. We know the filming can be a gruelling job to undertake, so I suspect this could be a reason why. Which would make a lot of sense for Melissa and Chris.

In all seriousness though, I wish Supergirl stuck to being a show about her, on her own. The first 2 seasons were amazing with badass moments with decent characters, then they expanded and made it very political and one-sided. Sucks but I’m surprised it lasted this long.

Regardless, we wish Melissa all the best on her future endeavours and hope we see her cameo in the upcoming Superman show at some point.
