What I Liked
1. The episode begins with Matt leaning into his faith by saying a prayer while holding onto a leaflet from Foggy’s funeral and remembering some memories from throughout the previous 5 episodes. It’s nice to see Matt lean into the faith side of his character again.
2. Hector’s niece comes to speak with Matt about the investigation that Hector was doing regarding the missing people. It all happened near a closed-down train line. This is the same investigation that Fisk has now been informed of, as a mural was found made with blood.
3. Cherry informs Matt that there is a serial killer on the loose. He explains that the NYPC has a suspect, an artist named “Muse”. Cherry also mentions that there are around 60 victims. Matt slowly puts it together that this is what Hector is investigating.
4. Daredevil returns. Matt gets a phone call from Hector’s wife saying that their niece didn’t come home. She went to the train tracks to do some investigation. Matt realizes it’s time that the devil returns. So we see him suit up and head out to find Angela.
5. While Muse and Daredevil are fighting, the scene is flipping between the two and Fisk and Adam. Fisk gives Adam an axe to use against him, and the two also fight with Fisk managing to be the aggressor. The two fights are very brutal.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be when Muse is watching the train go past and we see Daredevil come out of the lights and just start fighting Muse. Muse and Daredevil get into a fierce hand-to-hand fight with Muse using his weapons.
Standout Character
I would give this to Matt however, I’m going to go a different way and give this to Muse. He managed to put up a good fight against Matt, and his whole persona is really interesting.
Verdict
After episode 5 was a filler, this episode dived right back into the story, gave us our best look at Muse yet and the story revolving Muse was really interesting as a serial killer, he is brutal. The showdown between Daredevil and Muse was fantastic and so was the fight between Fisk and Adam.
